This is a solid oak chest inspired by the Rohan culture from 'The Lord of the Rings'. The box is constructed from quarter sawn panels, with Celtic style interlace carving.  The brass accents have been sculpted in clay and then cold cast, and the latch, hinges and handles are hand forged from mild steel.
